The Disposable Citizen In The Disposable Society - Thousands Attend "Over 50" Job Fair In Detroit

Discrimination against older workers in the United States has been and remains rampant. Age discrimination really has its foundations in the modern day neoliberal Republican party. Not a lot of republicanism in the corrupt corporatist ideology of the current incarnation of the Republican party. At least not the Washington version of it. Abraham Lincoln, the founder of the Republican party, would have literally nothing in common with current Washington Republican ideology as we have noted on a few occasions. Corporatist neoliberalism, which allows and even encourages this discrimination through failed government policy, is an ideology which really became a Washington religion, regardless of party, under the hyper-neoliberal Clinton administration.

Speak of which, why hasn't the mainstream media questioned how Al Gore and Bill Clinton were able to cumulatively make somewhere around $300 million after leaving the White House? These are bureaucrats who never earned more than about $100 thousand a year before getting in the White House. How might all of that money have been made? How did two former White House bureaucrats become two of the richest people in the United States? Well, what are the competencies of a bureaucrat? Special favors, pulling strings, manipulation, lobbying, tit-for-tat back-scratching cronyism and corporatism.

Before Bill Clinton and Al Gore, most former Presidents wrote their memoirs or gave a few speeches or were even involved in charity work in an effort to use their legacy to help benefit others. Most led a life where they never were concerned about money. None that I am aware of were able to turn their time in office into becoming massively wealthy as Clinton and Gore did. What did Clinton or Gore do to earn those astronomical sums of money? Policy or political favors for hire by well-connected bureaucrats aka lobbying? Maybe like private lobbying for big business and corrupt governments in Kazakhstan and Dubai, as an example? Or a bureaucrat-driven money-making ideology that humanity is the driver of global warming? (Now called global climate change because the ideology no longer matches the reality around us, so now it's time to curve-fit the models again.) The list is endless. Did any of this have to do with pay back for favors performed during time in the White House or did they both simply put out a shingle saying political influence was for hire? In other words, when they were supposedly our public servants in the White House, did they have a for sale sign in the front lawn? Well, we do know neither invented Google or the iPhone or found a cure for AIDS. $300 million. Hmm. Globalization has been good for kings and queens.

So now we see Clinton's neoliberalism is rooted in the economic ideology of the Obama White house with all of the Democratic party retreads. What evidence is there to President Obama's attempt to mimic Lincoln's team of rivals is anything more than a gaggle of goof balls? A team of rivals in positions of leadership must first be considered under the framework of leadership qualities. Maybe compassion, empathy, virtue, empowerment & equal consideration for the least amongst A More Perfect Union. If only we could find a Harvard-educated lawyer who was smarter than George Bush. All of our problems would be solved. Superior book-smarts has no correlation with great leadership. If anyone taught us that, it was Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton and the other elites in Washington have created an economic environment where our citizens and their lives are disposable. That is the real dynamic driving the collapse of democracy and our economy - the disposable citizen, the disposable worker and the disposable armed forces. Bureaucrat-driven neofeudalism.

The British aristocracy of 1776 lives again today. They reside in Washington D.C. And the reason why record numbers of Americans are on food stamps and cannot find work is purely a function of their policies. But hey, $300 million is a lot of jack to sell out a nation. Wall Street bureaucrats make that much every day for selling out widows and orphans.
