Phil Gramm Clarifies His Statements - McCain Supporters Aren't Whiners

I wrote a very lengthy post criticizing Phil Gramm's involvement in the creation of this crisis. And the 'hoof in mouth' disease that only certain four-legged animals related to the Shrek donkey character ever seem to suffer from. That compares to the foot in mouth disease that we all suffer from occasionally. Now it appears Mr. Inside Man no longer believes we are all whiners. Just those who might disagree with him or by intimation those who would not vote for his candidate. By the way his candidate is already on the record as saying he knows little of economics and relies on people like Phil Gramm. I don't hold that against McCain because he isn't required to be an economist to be President. But, that doesn't let Mr. Hoof In Mouth off the hook.

"If you're sitting here today, you're not economically illiterate and you're not a whiner, so I'm not worried about who you're going to vote for,'' the former Texas senator told attendees at a Financial Services Roundtable event in Minneapolis on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention. -- Courtesy of Bloomberg

Interestingly enough, what is the validity of someone with no grasp of current economics telling others they are not economically illiterate only if they vote for someone who has already acknowledged he is economically illiterate? I think if I were to parse that statement with Boolean Logic, it would turn out to be completely illogical and untrue any way you look at it. Of course, there is this concept of Negative True Logic in computer circuit design or open collectors in transistor design or two wrongs making a right................So, with Negative True Logic maybe Gramm's two wrongs do make a right. Nah, Gramm doesn't understand anyting about logic or computers or transistors or seemingly, economics.
