World Container Ship Demand Implodes

One of the favorites on the financial media circuit this past cycle were shipping company executives. We first wrote back in 2006 that transportation stocks were likely to implode at the end of this cycle. And, they have not disappointed. In fact, we are likely to witness unprecedented bankruptcies in the transportation business. The Journal of Commerce reported this week that hundreds of container ships were idled. What they didn't report is that hundreds more are in the process of being built or scheduled to be built. The global logistics and transportation business is obviously in the middle of its own massive bubble.
