Crimes Against Women In U.S. Propped Up Afghanistan Regime Worse Than Under Taliban. Women's Repression Started With CIA Involvement 20 Years Ago.
"The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything." — Albert Einstein
Some time ago we highlighted Transparency Internationa's corruption index of Afghanistan and Iraq under U.S. control. It hasn't improved one iota since. These two countries rank as the most corrupt countries on the face of the earth. Substantially more corrupt than almost any country that would qualify as an enemy of the United States. In other words, the trillions of dollars of our money and our massive nation building efforts have accomplished what? And at what cost to the people of these countries and to our soldiers and their families? Additionally, every working American is saddled with thousands of dollars of debt to support this effort which has manifested itself in unprecedented corruption and hundreds of thousands of deaths.
"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?" -- Mahatma Gandhi
The free world needs a more reasoned, less violent strategy to save the people in Afghanistan. Maybe something like this. And it's not the responsibility of the United States. It's the responsibility of the free world. Injustice is tolerated and acceptable in the world of dictators and thugs. Injustice allowed by a free people is a crime against humanity because we have chosen to allow it to happen of our own free will.
