The Secretive Banking Cabal?

The idea of secret banking cabals that control the country and global economy are a given among conspiracy theorists who stockpile ammo, bottled water and peanut butter. After this week’s congressional hearing into the bailout of American International Group Inc., you have to wonder if those folks are crazy after all.

You don't need to be a conspiracy theorist to see our government is hugely influenced if not controlled by banking mobsters and special interests. The only question remains of whether this corporatocracy has existed for decades. The answer is clearly yes. It is not a conspiracy to realize lobbyists were responsible for the privatization of our banking system and money creation with the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. Or that a fraudulent Supreme Court decision surrounding corporate personhood one hundred and fifty years ago allows major corporations to bribe our government ad nauseam. It is pretty much fact with little debate.

The irony in all of this, and do remember this because it shall come to pass, is that the sham of Chief Supreme Court Justice Roberts and his Republican-appointed Supreme Court henchmen in the recent lobbyist decision, the sham that is the United States Senate controlled by lobbyists, the sham that is a private profiteering banking system with no value to a democracy, the sham that is the arrogance of Wall Street's bonuses and outright and constant fraud and theft and the sham that is corporate and foreign government lobbyists has been so blatantly exposed that only a fool would deny they now exist. And that they exist to the detriment of a functioning democracy serving the people.

And that means the party is over. Period. It's simply a matter of time. There is no return to the status quo. The Washington and Wall Street bubble has popped. Now we get real reform. It's only a matter of when. Do we need to vote all of these bastards out first? Do we need to see complete collapse first? Do we need to see untold crises? We shall see. But make no mistake, the arrogance of the elitist neoliberals has cost them permanently. They just don't realize it. Yet.
