Material girl Michelle Obama is a modern-day Marie Antoinette

As a follow up to our last post, I believe this story has some merit. In other words, that Washington politicians and the political class are so out of touch with reality that they don't seem to understand the state of the country.

It's ridiculous to listen to people blame this environment on President Obama but it's equally ridiculous to listen to useful idiots talk about how this President is making substantially constructive changes to the mess he inherited. And while I believe our President and his family are decent people, they clearly are well out of touch with reality. And that out of touch reality reflects in the fact that Washington has done literally next to nothing to embrace new economic ideals or policies to get our economy back on track. In other words, the suffering experienced by the bosses of our public servants falls upon deaf ears while Washington parties on.

I guess you could call me old fashioned. I believe the politicians in Washington should show some restraint if not outright contrition for the mess our country is in. The mess they created. When we are witnessing war deaths of our citizens and tens of thousands of war veterans with physical ailments and brain damage who are often getting no help, I believe it's important to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Memorial Day. It's just a small thing. It's called respect for those who have sacrificed so much. Not because it's fun but because you are commander-in-chief. And it is therefore your duty. And if someone needs to tell you it's your duty, you just don't get it.

And because we have forty million Americans on food stamps and twenty five plus million wage earners either out of work or living hand-to-mouth, I believe you need to show some compassion and empathy. That's not accomplished by galavanting around the globe at the expense of American citizens.

Washington politicians truly believe they are our masters and not our servants. Words ring hollow. The proof is in their actions. Their actions speak volumes of let them eat cake. We need to restore nobility, leadership and a desire to serve society to the corrupt cesspool in Washington. We will only do that by electing noble and virtuous people. And that will likely only happen on a large scale by busting the political parties.

We were the first to write long ago of a third party Presidential candidate in 2012. That dynamic still appears to be playing itself out quite nicely.
