A Few Remarks About Osama Bin Laden’s Death

Our President tells us with this announcement that justice has been done.   Justice for whom exactly?

-Hundreds of thousands and by some estimates, upwards of a million people dead in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Most of whom were innocent of any crime and were often women and children.

-Thousands of American servicemen and women dead fighting two unconstitutional wars that lined the pockets of the corporate state.

-Tens of thousands of American servicemen and women with lost limbs, experienced brain trauma, post traumatic stress disorder and other often unrecoverable injuries.

-Untold shattered families and divorces created by those unable to deal with the stress and trauma created by the war state.

-Struggling servicemen and women who cannot get decent health care, find employment and are having trouble re-integrating into society.

-Ditto for all of the above for the families and people in  Iraq and Afghanis who experienced loss of life or relatives with trauma.

-Trillions of dollars spent fighting two, and now three undeclared, and therefore unconstitutional and illegitimate wars.  Wars which have no definition of scope and little chance of succeeding; something that experts clearly articulated before we rushed headlong into ill-thought actions of bureaucrats.

-The pillaging of the U.S. Treasury by thousands of private contractors ripping off society for Homeland Security and Middle East escapades and crimes against our country

-A more radicalized population in all countries affected by this entire charade as people rebel against the tyranny of the state.

-The loss of liberty in our country as the corporate state tightens its noose on our society in the name of security.

So, who again has received justice, Mr. President?  And, now will we dismantle the security state, end the three wars and pay reparations to our citizens who suffered irreparable damage?  Ahem.

We have marshaled the largest war machine ever created to capture one man.  When the only tool one has is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.  And the state has destroyed much of our country to do it.   The state understands one thing – force.

“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”  – George Washington

Long live the state.
